Welcome to Flushdyke J&I School. We hope you will find this website useful and informative.

 Flushdyke J&I is a long established school which over time has built a reputation for high standards of achievement and behaviour. Our staff work hard to maintain that reputation and to keep up to date with current educational thinking.  

Our school was judged to be outstanding in its most recent Ofsted inspection in September 2008.  Her Majesty’s Inspector reported, “Ossett Flushdyke is an outstanding school.  Strong leadership at all levels combined with a total commitment to inclusion enables pupils of all abilities to make good progress”.

 

We believe that it is important to create a secure, safe and caring environment in which children can develop to their potential. We encourage children to respect each other, to be truthful and honest, and to look after the school and its environment. Good pupil behaviour is achieved through mutual respect and trust and a positive partnership with parents.
