Who are we and what do we do?

 

Friends of Flushdyke is a charity fund raising committee run by parents and carers of children in the school and also some of the staff.  We organise social events and fund raising efforts to support the school.  We like to spend our money on the little and the big things that school is unable to supply due to lack of funds.  These extras will help to enhance our children's learning at Flushdyke School.

We are very proud of our success and in the past have managed to raise thousands of pounds, which for a small school is quite an achievement.  Some of the events we have organised in the past are:-

Summer Fayres, Christmas Fayres, quiz nights, sponsored bike ride, chocolate evening, fashion show, Pampered chef, Halloween Magic Night with fancy dress, and a sponsored jungle walk around Spring Mill.

We always love to see new faces at our informal meetings.  New faces mean new ideas, so if you are able to spare a couple of hours to help organise events we would love to see you at our next meeting. It is always nice to see you so come along and join our team and take pride in our school.  Or if you think that a meeting is too daunting don't forget you can show your support by bringing your family and friends to our events.
